LET'S GO TO THE BEACH

New Zealand's beaches are beautiful and full of surprises. In the last three weeks, we have been to lots of different places and every single seaside was special in its own way. The following pictures show our three favourites so far, two of them being black sand beaches and the third one being a hot water beach. It is literally a "hot water beach" as within two hours either side of low tide it is possible to dig holes into the sand which will then fill themselves with water coming from underground hot springs. Visitors usually take their spades with them, quickly build a small pool and relax in the sun. (We recommend to be cautious though as the water heats up to more than 60°C and can be painful rather than enjoyable.)
